External IDE hard drive enclosure Thursday, 29 November 2007

My external drive enclosure (External Black hi-Speed USB 2.0 3.5″ Hard Disk Drive Enclosure Kit ) arrived this morning. It was the most beautifully wrapped parcel I have ever received, I was reluctant to unwrap it it was so neat.
It came with EVERYTHING I could need to set it up (except a hard drive!):

Holiday, day 2: DIY and general geekery Tuesday, 13 November 2007

This morning was spent doing DIY:

Installed new fluorescent light in the shed
Fixed “Kadesh” brass nameplate to shed door!
Fixed new bolt to back gate
Fixed new hose reel to the wall
Built CD bookcase extension from old bookcase
Trip to local dump (recycling centre)

This afternoon was spent doing geeky stuff

Sorting out my pile of old technology in the cupboard
